FC Famalicão’s Sporting Director André Vilas Boas uses TransferRoom on a daily basis to cut through the noise of the transfer market: he wants direct talks with decision-makers to share real-time information.
It’s a policy that has served Famalicão well, with Ivan Dolček brought in on loan from Hajduk Split in quick time, after Vilas Boas posted an advert for a left-back when a deal fell through at late notice towards the end of a transfer window.
With a smaller budget than rivals in both Portugal and abroad, Famalicão have to work smarter in the transfer window and as such connections made on the platform and in-person at TransferRoom Summits has allowed the club to target viable signings, so they can “be more direct, and not to dream”.
